The functions of the unit includes

• Saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the affairs of the unit such as carrying out maintenance.
• Repair of various gardening tools and machines.
• Coordinate the activities of gardeners to ensure conduciveness of the environment.
• Coordinate boundary patrol of the Institute’s land to prevent encroachment.
• Coordinate tenants’ activities on the Institute’s land.
