Dr. Sunday Adegbesan (Ag. Head, Training Department)

Educated at Federal College of Education, Abeokuta (English SOS), University of Ilorin, Ilorin (Educational Management with Second Class Upper Division), Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye (M.Ed & PhD Educational Planning & Policy). Dr. Adegbesan also holds Graduate Diploma in Management Information System as well as UNESCO=IIEP Certificate in Cost Analysis in Education. As a Senior Training and Research Fellow at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, he has developed, written and facilitated over 200 training workshop programmes for school managers, administrators and planners within and outside the country; he has equally attended several local and international conferences. Dr. Sunday Adegbesan’s area of specialization includes; Educational planning  and Policy, Strategic/Performance management, Economics of Education, Monitoring and Evaluation, Quality Assurance in Education, School Plant Planning and Management and Human Resource Planning. He is a member of the following professional bodies:

  • Member Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (MNAEAP)
  • Member National Council for Educational Innovation and Development (MNCIED)
  • Member National Association of Evaluators and Researchers (NAERE)
  • Member, Nigerian Association of Education for National Development (MNAEND)
  • Member, Nigerian Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (MNTRCN)

It is pertinent to know that Dr Sunday Adegbesan won a research grant award project sponsored by Education Research Network for West Africa (ERNWACA, 2014-2015) on the Influence of Quantity and Quality of Basic Educationin Women’s Capability in Accessing Anti-natal Facilities in Nigeria. He has served as a member of several committees in the Institute some of which are; Secretary to the Committee on Annual Training Programme (ATP) of the Institute, secretary, Institute Journal and Publication Committtee, Editorial Member and Managing Editor of Studies in Educational Planning and Administration(SEPA) and Journal of Contemprory Issues in Educational Planning and Administration (JCIEPA). He has also served in various capacities as a consultant to Federal Ministry Ministry of Education (FME) Abuja on Student Tutoring, Mentoring and Counseling Programme (STUMEC), School Based Management Committee (SBMC), Girls Education Project (GEP) and also as a consultant to UNICEF on Institutional Development (Bayelsa and Ebonyi States Core Technical Team Member to Develop the State Education Strategic Plan and Operational Plan SESP-SESOP). Dr. Adegbesan was appointed education specialist and consultant in 2017 by DFID-OSIWA on the review, implementation and promotion of civic education curriculum in Nigeria.

Dr  Adegbesan has over 50 publications to his credit. He is happily married with children.

 

Dr. Toun Akinsolu, Coordinator of Programmes                                 

Dr. Mrs. Akinsolu, Abiodun Olatoun is an Associate Professor of Educational Management. She works with the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, Ondo. She holds a PhD in Educational Management with specialty in planning from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. She is a lecturer, trainer, researcher and consultant with various governments at Federal, State and Local level as well as consultant to  international organizations such as Common Wealth of Learning (COL), UNICEF,UNESCO-IICBA, British Council and World Bank on Educational Management issues such as  capacity building of education sector planners and managers, Development of participatory training manuals, Education Sector Strategic Plan and Operational Plan, conduct of Action Research (AR) for Institutional Development. Her areas of specializations are Educational Management with specialty in Planning and Policy Analysis as well as gender issues. She has written extensively in these areas in Local and International journals. Her research interest includes Educational Management and Planning, Policy Analysis in Education, Teacher Education, and HIV/AIDS issues.

She is a trained expert by the World Bank Institute in the application of Economics theory for policy decision and reforms in education as well as a trained Cost Analyst for Education service provision as attested by IIEP, Paris. A Course designer and facilitator of experiential learning at the Institute, she has written several manuals, modules and other training guides for the Institute and for International Development Partners (IDPs). She possesses the following skills and abilities: facilitation of group and individual learning, Analytical skills with respect to development of Project Monitoring and Evaluation tools for system efficiency, data interpretations for appropriate usage in the education sector, Computer simulation skill- using EPSSIM simulation model to interpret Educational Planning data through scenarios generation. She has the ability to accommodate both convergent and divergent views of learners/participants to inform proper system development. She is happily married with children.

 

Dr. (Mrs.) A.L. Ogunsola

Dr. Mrs. Anne Ogunsola is an Assistant Chief Training and Research Fellow at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), Nigeria, Ondo. She holds a  B.Sc. ((Ed) Degree in Science Education, M.Ed. in Educational Management and Ph.D in Educational Planning  . Currently, Dr. Ogunsola serves as the Desk Officer, NIEPA/UNICEF and NIEPA/UNESCO activities and Head of Unit (Special Projects) at the Institute. She is trained and certified by IIEP/UNESCO in the use of EPSSim model for educational projections, making her one of the few specialists in the usage of EPSSim model in Nigeria. Her area of interest includes allocation and utilization of educational resources (human, materials and finance) while her skill areas includes facilitation in participatory mode of training, capacity building of educational planners, managers and administrators. A strong advocate of self-development, Dr. Ogunsola enrolled for and completed over six e-learning courses in education such as education indicators, education statistics, economics of education, early childhood care education and modern monitoring and evaluation with certificates from the World Bank, IOCE/UNICEF. She is both a researcher and writer with over three dozens of empirical articles in academic journals and books of readings at local and international levels. She also co-authored the 21stcentrury School Managers, a best-selling book for education managers and administrators.

 

Dr. O. T. Omotayo, Head, Administration and Quality Assurance Unit

Dr. O. T. Omotayo is currently a Senior Researcher in Educational Planning and Administration of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, Ondo. He has published several research articles in National and International Journals. Educated at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife for the first degree and Bayero University Kano where he obtained his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Educational Planning and Administration with specialization in Educational Administration and Planning, Vocational Technical Education.

 

Dr. I. D. Eyarefe, Head, Special Projects Unit

Dr. (Mrs) Deborah Ibitola Eyarefe is a Training and Research Fellow, and currently serves as Head of Special Project Unit at National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), Ondo, Nigeria. She holds a B.Ed (Hons) degree in Educational Management, M.Ed Educational Management/Planning and Policy and Ph.D in Educational Planning and Policy from the prestigious University of Ibadan. She is certified professional female leader in Planning, Policy and Leadership at International Institute for Educational Planning, IIEP-UNESCO, Paris.

She is a writer and researcher; she authored several articles both locally and internationally. Her research interest includes educational planning, policy analysis, data management and gender issues. She is an advocate of self-development and women empowerment. Her professional skills include teaching, facilitation mode of training, capacity building of education sector planners and managers. She is versed in the development of training modules and guides. She is happily married with a God fearing family.

 

Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Anyim

Elizabeth Anyim is a seasoned Administrator and Research Fellow and Liaison Officer of NIEPA South East Zone.

She had served in Ebonyi State Universal Basic Education Board, Abakaliki as a deputy Director and Desk Officer Training in the Teacher Training and Academic Services Department. She was the Executive Education Secretary Ishielu Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), in Ebonyi State 2000-2002. She taught at several Secondary Schools in both Enugu and Ebonyi State as the Senior English Teacher and Senior boarding house mistress.

She is an Academia and member Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) Ebonyi State chapter, The Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP). She is the current Vice Chairman PTA Federal Girls Secondary School Ezzamgbo, the President Catholic Women Organization Nigeria Urban Zone, Abakaliki Diocese, and member and leader in several pious  societies in the Roman Catholic church. She has published both local and international journals. She is married and blessed with Godly children.

 

Mr. Taiwo Lato

E.T  Lato is a Senior Training and Research fellow, in the Department of Training, National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration NIEPA, Nigeria Ondo. He is a trainer, facilitator and desk officer for Africa Union (AU) and USAID matters. He obtained his NCE in Mathematics/Economics from College of Education, Ekiadolor, B.Sc (Ed) Economics from Delta State University Abraka, MBA in Education Administration, from Delta State University Abraka and M.Sc Economics from University of Benin, Edo State. He is a member of TRCN and has published many scholarly essays in reputable journals and is presently a doctoral student at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. His area of teaching and research interests includes: planning and policy, Gender, Development Economics, Finance, Economics of Education, Educational Management and Administration, Business Administration and Project Management.

  

Mr. Najeem Oresajo

An Assistant Training and Research Fellow at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, Ondo. He attended Tai Solarin College of Education, Ijebu-Ode (now in Omu-Ijebu), Ogun State, Nigeria for the Nigerian Certificate in Education (French/Social Studies) and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye where he obtained his B.Sc (Ed.) Social Studies,M.Ed Educational Management (Administration), and at present; he is a Doctoral student of Educational Management (Institutional Administration) in the same University. His specializations are Educational Management/ Social Studies. However, his teaching experiences cut-across virtually all the levels of education- primary, secondary and tertiary institutions at full time and part time. He is a member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

Having enlisted in NIEPA last three years ago, he had been able to serve in the following capacities:

  • As a member of Local Organizing Committee (LOC) on Conferences of Directors of Education Quality Assurance, Educational Management of Information System (EMIS), Planning, Research and Statistics among others;
  • As a member of Achievement Committee;
  • Member of Panel of Enquiry on Staff discipline;
  • Assistant Desk Officer NIEPA/UNICEF on HIV/AIDS;
  • Member of NIEPA SERVICOM;
  • Module Writing and Critiquing;
  • Writing of Facilitator’s Guide;
  • Designing of Participants Workbook;
  • Proposal Writing;
  • Facilitations in different seminars/workshops/conferences.

Mr. Oresajo has published some articles in academic journal, book of readings and has attended some National Conferences.

 

Mrs. Folajogun Akinkuowo

Miss. Akinkuowo, Folajogun Oluwasinbo is currently a Training and Research fellow II at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, Ondo. She bagged her first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Yoruba Education with a second class upper division (Hons) in 2006 and holds a M.Ed in Educational Planning from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2006. She is currently running her Ph.D in Educational Management (Planning and Policy) in Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. As a young trainer and researcher, her area of interest is Educational Management, Educational Planning and Administration, Leadership and Gender Equality. She has some publications and has been involved in the following for the Institute:

  • writing of academic papers
  • module writing and critiquing;
  • facilitation of group and individual learning,
  • analytical skills in presentations and feedback reports
  • proposal Writing;
  • facilitations in workshops

 

Miss. Ajilore, Dolapo Abosede

currently an Assistant Training and Research fellow at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Nigeria, Ondo. She bagged her first degree from University of Abuja, with a second class upper division in 2010 and holds an MSc. in Economics with emphasis in Development and Health Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2016, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Her dexterity in her studies has earned her best graduating student both in her first and second degrees. She is currently running a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education and on her professional stage in ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria). As a young trainer and researcher, her research interest includes Development and Health Economics with emphasis on Econometrics Analysis, Planning, and forecasting of models. She has some publications and has been involved in the following for the Institute:

  • facilitation of group and individual learning,
  • analytical skills in presentations and feedback reports
  • module Writing and Critiquing;
  • proposal Writing;
  • facilitations in workshops

Mr. Sesan O. Olawale

Sesan Oluwaseun Olawale is a Training and Research Fellow at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Ondo. He holds a B.Ed and M.Ed Degrees in Adult and Non-Formal Education with First Class Honours. Olawale Sesan received UNIBEN Scholars’ award in 2015 as the Departmental Best Graduating Student and the 1st First Class Graduand in the department of Adult and Non-Formal Education, University of Benin, Benin City since inception in 1976. As a young academia, Sesan Olawale has published articles in Journals and has presented academic papers in conferences.

 

 

Bodunde Michael Tenabe

Elder Bodunde Michael Tenabe is an Assistant Registrar in the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration. A Member of Institute for Professional Administrators and Planners (IPMA) and former ex-oficio member (2016), Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria Institute for Public Relations (NIPR) and also, Information Desk Officer (2014-2016) to the Director General NIEPA. Mr. Tenabe holds a Bachelors of Arts in English&Literature from University of Benin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. He is currently the Faculty Officer of the Training Department.
